Regarding English Proficiency Certificate for All Foreign Doctors / 2017

With effect from 1st March 2017, all foreign applicants applying for pre-registration with Maldives Medical and Dental Council must complete and submit International English Language Testing System (IELTS) OR Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL), subject to a validity period of 2 years based on the date of the test.

The minimum acceptable scores are:

  1. IELTS – at least 6 for overall score
  2. TOEFL – 250 marks for computer based test or 600 marks for paper based test or 100 marks for internet-based test
